Hola! Elder Rexito here! (My Finnish friend calls me that)

How’s the good ole USA? I have a little American flag on my bed so I represent us
well even though I’m surrounded by an Austrian, Finnish and two Canadians! Last night they all thanked America for winning World War 2 so that’s cool haha anyways! I’m getting better at futbol but I’m still not good. I’m good at defending people and that’s about it! I call myself el tigre! Anyways idk what to write! Christmas was weird, did not feel like Christmas!! Special thank you to the Robertson and Neilson families for their Christmas cards! They are hanging up on my wall!! We watched ELF and that was fun!! I ate 8 slices of pizza on Christmas Eve so that was fun. A whole pizza and then 3 scoops of ice cream after that! I couldn’t move! I’m such a comedian here! People just laugh at my jokes all the time, the hermanas love me! (not too much). Native Spanish speakers are coming here soon so that will be cool to practice my Spanish! Ummm I went out last week and ate some tapas and whatnot. Spain is a busy place!  

So I went to the temple today and I was wearing my white shirt and tie and I went to get a drink from the water fountain when it started to growl at me and then just shot a fine mist of brown liquid all over my face and tie.... my companion just laughed at me and I stood there in disbelief! It was nasty and I had to get a new tie and everything!!! I’ll try to send pictures next week!!! It’s hard to do.

I’m going back to emailing on Thursday next week so like ten days or something! I miss you all! You are all in my prayers!! As my good friend Elder Neilson would say, "may the force be with you"

Hey!! They dont give me enough time to email in here!! Well this week should be fun, we have Pday today (tuesday) Christmas eve festivities tomorrow and then Christmas the next day, so it' s pretty nice! Spanish kicked my but yesterday. It is very frustrating for me because im a competitive person by nature and here I am not being able to express my thoughts in Spanish! Oh well... just keep going I guess. Just have to keep in mind Ether 12:27!

Well i dont know what to say its only been 5 days since last email. I bought a light up Christmas sweater, I will try to get pictures to you sometime. Everyone
loves my monkey suit so thats a plus! And everyone here thinks im
pretty dang funny so i try to lighten moods with that. I'm a horrible
soccer player!!! Woohooo!!! We play at this concrete arena every day. There's a bunch of graffiti. I did score a goal yesterday though so im gaining respect and my Austrian friend said i was like a tiger out there, so there’s that. I put effort in and people think im decent for that reason. Oh my roommates and I sing "You Are Loved" by Josh Groban at least 3 times a day, tell Shane that

for me he will appreciate it.

Some cool songs to look up on youtube for Christmas are Cloverton Hallelujah and Share The Gift with the piano guys and David Archuleta. Speaking of that man...he came here on Sunday and i pretty much was 2nd row at a David Archuleta concert. The dude can sing! He didnt really remember Courtney though when i asked... 

I hope all is well back home. I bet Nala misses me, dont worry i miss her too. Umm so the food here is interesting! We get to go eat in the city tonight so that

should taste better!! Eat some sushi for me. Overall I’m doing well!! The hardest part right now is the Spanish!! But i should get better! Tell everyone i miss them! I got a package from Sarah yesterday so that was sweeeet! Getting mail seriously makes you a celebrity in here! Oh and that's pretty sweet that Uncle Jay served with my mission prez! Well i will talk to you guys Thursday! 5:30 Madrid time!!

Well this is my first pday and im attempting to type really

fast on this spanish keyboard so i apologize for spelling errors. My companion is from  canada, elder assuant. Nice dude. Things are going well this week!

i dont know spanish so thats not too great. i can pray and testify of

certain things but sentences are muy dificil. Um the food here is so

so, nothing special. had some weird kiwi juice this morning, it had a

very weird texture to it. im going tot the mall after this to

hopefully get a Christmas sweater.

Dad, ask Uncle Jay what year he served here and if he served with an elder Lovell. thats my CCMpresident and he served with an elder rex in Spain..so try to figure that out and let me know. I email you guys again tuesday and ill let

you know about skype. BUT i do need you guys to create me a skype

account and email me the  name and password before then or else we

wont skype!

ummm i hope all is well back home. the biggest struggle

out here is the language. not very good at it. hopefully it will come

with time tough. I have attempted to teach around 5 lessons and i dont

understand much...so i just testify, i accidentally testified about the

book of mormon before we even talk about it. haha whoops. i have 5

elders in my room, 2 from canada, 1 from austria, 1 from finland and

then me. i like the austrian and finnish ones a lot. very funny guys,

the finnish one is going to my mission so thats cool. My brain is like a

blender right now so i dont know exactly what to say. We play sports

every day at 5, usually futbol. Umm i bought a pen that blows

bubbles... what skype name will i be skyping to? i think i skype around 530 madrid time on thursday. I'll get you solid details on Tuesday.

I got a letter from the Neilsons and that was lovely:) my first mail! Other

than my christmas package the first day. I didnt bring and pictures of

friends and family so that was stupid of me... soooo friends, you should write me!! Letters make me feel so cool!! I'll write back once i figure out how to mail things here! I've already got some letters to send to some 

people!

Courtney i hope you had a GOOD BIRTHDAY!! ill try to send you

something. i miss you all. mom i hope you are doing well!Michael maybe one day you'll be able to dunk...idk though. miss you guys. i got to go to the temple! Talk to you guys on tuesday!!! love you all! You are all in my prayers.
